A little about me.....

Hi, my name is Laurie.  I am a 34 year old mom to 2 adorable kiddos.  Nicole is 11 and Andrew is 6.   I also have one amazing husband who puts up with my "frugal nature", lol.  Currently I am a stay at home mom / homemaker.  Of course... living on one income is very challenging for a family of 4, but we both know that when the time comes for me to go back into the work force, I will gladly do it.  But until then, I will clip coupons, stockpile and find amazing deals.  Because every little bit helps ;)

I guess you could say I have always been frugal.  I have never craved the latest or popular clothes or gadgets.  After all, why would I buy one pair of jeans for $50 when I could find a sale for $10 each and get 5??  The same goes for kid's clothes.  My kids always had the cutest outfits, but they were all bought at Walmart, Target, Kmart or JCPenney on clearance for $2 or $3.  My trick was if I found something that I absolutely loved, I would buy them in larger sizes and wait for the kids to grow into them. 

I started this blog as a way to share deals, freebies and tips with my long distance family & friends and hopefully meet some new "frugal" friends along the way ;)  Thanks for stopping by.
